AI Camp is where the next generation of AI builders begins their journey.
We're not another coding bootcamp or expensive summer program. We're China's first AI incubator designed specifically for high school students who want to build real products that matter.
What makes us different:
Real Projects, Real Impact: Our students don't build toy projects. They create products that compete at Google Hackathons and win global awards.
Industry Mentorship: Learn directly from engineers at Google, Microsoft, and leading AI companies.
Proven Methodology: Our approach is based on our own research published at Stanford University, combining AI-assisted learning with hands-on building.
In just weeks, our students go from idea to launched product — experiencing the full journey of creation that most people don't encounter until years into their careers.
My name is Derek, and I'm the founder of AI Camp.
Teaching has always been a big part of my life. My dad was a philosophy professor, so growing up, we talked a lot about the big questions, like what's truly important, and why:) My first teaching experience was when I was a PhD student at the University of Chicago. I remember nervously teaching my first Computer Architecture class, and realized this is what I love to do.
Even after I went on to work in venture capital and tech, I always found my way back to education. Today, I'm a teacher at the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling School, a school named after the great Madam Soong Ching Ling, Mother of Modern China.
AI Camp is the result of all these experiences. I wanted to create the place I wished I had when I was in high school — a place for students like you to build things that matter, and maybe, just maybe, discover what it is you truly love.
